Sweet Sixteen

I recall when I turned 16 years old, I was tall, gangly, a bit of a geek and had yet to be introduced to the world of makeup let alone a taste of style!

Thats why when meeting Kathryn for her sweet sixteen birthday shoot its hard to believe this girl is still in school let alone just turned 16. Kathryn is probably one of the maturest 16 year olds I have ever had the pleasure of spending the day with, she's got striking good looks, a caring and smart attitude mixed with a grace and elegance not found in many teenagers and on top of that she is ace at baking too!

Congratulations on your birthday Kathryn, one things for sure, this girl is going to have the world at her feet.

After Kathryns shoot we had time to play around with friends including the adorable cockpoos Benji, Orla and Ollie.

Snow White

I love the freedom of creating styled shoots, choosing the location, dress and models and creating a look. Each photoshoot has been inspired by a fairytale story, this shoot is based around snow white. We aimed to create a soft look and because blush gowns are storming the bridal catwalks just now we thought this would be a perfect contrast with the snow, we teamed this with hand made head pieces by the talented Sonia at Gioia Mia who has just created some new pearl and crystal pieces to add to her collection. The dress from Maggie sottero we choose as I wanted the ruffles and texture to stand out from the snow, the lace gown from Enzoani with the butterfly back was perfect for our setting. Both gowns are from award winning bridal shop Opus Couture. The brief for make up was a natural look as we wanted Louise to look innocent but with a soft rose glow, Shonas makeup was fantastic as it stayed put even though we got battered by sideways rain, wind and snow. The beautiful flowers were created by Imagination Wedding Flowers.
